Vertechs ULIA Ultra-low Invasion Additive Was Shipped to a Major IOC in Southeast Asia to Tackle NPT Resulting from Losses and Wellbore Instability

On March 16, 2020, a new batch of ULIA was shipped to a major IOC to tackle losses and wellbore instability arising from drilling operation in depleted sandstone formation.

Vertechs drilling fluids team has engineered wellbore strengthening solutions for drilling operations for more than eight years. ULIA was developed to seal the formation by forming a strong and ultra-low permeability film on rock surface instantaneously, as and when the new formation is opened. ULIA has been proven widely to prevent or remediate wellbore instability in sandstone formation, shale formation and carbonate formation successfully, thereby significantly reducing total NPT and saving overall operation costs.
