At the Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Show (MEOS GEO 2025), Vertechs Group showcased two key innovations in hydraulic fracturing. First, an intelligent frac ball with integrated temperature-pressure sensors enables real-time downhole monitoring in HTHP-horizontal wells. Unlike traditional fiber optic or wireline methods, this dissolvable sensor records pressures up to 15,000 psi and temperatures up to 300°C, then flows back to the surface for direct data retrieval, revealing fracture propagation, plug dissolution, and thermal decay of injected fluids.
We also highlighted the deployment of over thousands frac plugs in Middle East Region, including acid-resistant versions. These plugs feature a dual-slip design capable of holding pressure from both sides, or a single-slip design that enhances dissolution performance. They allow operators to move from fracturing to production without coiled tubing interventions, reducing milling time and overall costs. This innovation is particularly valuable for HTHP wells, streamlining operations while minimizing risks, and represents a significant advancement in hydraulic fracturing technology.
We look forward to connecting with you again at the next event.
